If you think that going incognito in Google chrome or InPrivate browsing in Internet Explorer or private window in Firefox will erase all your history details but they claim to be. You can actually get the browsing history details from your ISP providers but they need your identity. So getting your browsing history from ISP providers is safe but there is actually another way of getting it so we should be aware of this. Let’s see how can we get history in incognito tab.
First of all, let me create some history in all private browsers so that I can show you the proof how this actually works.
Steps to check history in incognito tab
Step 1: Open RUN by pressing WIN + R (on your windows pc)
Step 2: Type CMD and press ok
Step 3: write the following command “ipconfig/displaydns” and press enter (exclude quotations)
Note: You will get some extra sites also which you haven’t visited this is because they are connected to the website which you have visited in the form of advertisements or some other services. For example, you can see the above screenshot showing adservice.google.com. This is adservice related to that site.
How to clear this?
Step 1: Follow the above steps to open CMD
Step 2: Type the following command “ipconfig /flushdns“ and press enter.(exclude quotations)
Step 3: Use the “exit” command to exit
All the browsing data will be stored on your computer unless you delete it manually
some common terms used above are
- ipconfig-internet protocol configuration
- dns– domain name system
- CMD-command prompt
