We often get some situations like when we have to type some of these special characters in keyboard ♀ ♫ ☼ for our assignment, project or some other purpose so what we do, we just copy paste from somewhere else right? But actually, you can type it from your keyboard. Let’s see how it is possible.

Many characters that can’t be typed on a keyboard can be entered by holding down the ALT key and then using the numeric keypad to type the ASCII or Unicode code for that character. American Standard Code for Information Interchange(ASCII), is a character encoding standard for electronic communication.

For example, holding down ALT and then typing 0169 on the numeric keypad, prints ©, the copyright symbol

NOTE: you must enable numlock in your keypad and numbers must be typed from your number keypad but not from the numbers which are present above alphabets because it won’t work.
